The Goldendoodle is a cross between a Poodle (toy, miniature or standard) and a Golden Retriever. Both breeds are very friendly and affectionate which leads the Goldendoodle puppies to be the same way! They love being around people and want all of the attention they can get. They can be quite inquisitive, so having a fenced in yard is not a bad idea. They love to play with their owners, especially fetch. They usually tend not to bark a lot, and are friendly with everyone making them great companions. Goldendoodle's would do best with a family that is around a lot, because they crave attention. Their coat can be a wide variety of colors, curls and length. Some Goldendoodle's may get more of the Poodle curls where one might get more of the straight Golden Retriever coat. Sometimes, they can get a mix between curls and straight and have a wavy coat instead! They have a low to non-shedding coat. They do need to have regular brushing and grooming. They do not need to have a lot of exercise, but do need to be able to run around an average amount. The Goldendoodles are a great family dog!
